Fruits of the Spirit – week 4

Kindness  Titus 3:1-7

Titus 3:4-5
But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.

Thought for the week
Who in your life has shown you kindness when you most needed it?

Who in life has shown you kindness which has transformed your life?

We have all experienced the kindness of God through the sacrifice of his Son.

Times are difficult, let us make a conscious effort to show kindness to others. The next time you meet someone who is out of sorts, miserable, grumpy … instead of asking what’s the matter with you? Ask What matters to you?

2 Thessalonians 1:11
With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith.

Thought for the week
Goodness is love in action. It expects no rewards and stems from a heart of purity and openness, revealing God’s character in us.

What matters is our attitude and motivation. With a right attitude goodness in action is a form or worship as we honour our living God, through which he is revealed to the world.
