“A stunning wee church” was how Mark Stephen described St Fillan’s when he visited as part of the BBC Scotland Out of Doors program.
It was on BBC Radio Scotland on Saturday 22nd April at 6:30am. You can listen to it here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m001lb4c
“At nine hundred years old, St Fillan’s Church in Aberdour has an exciting history- which Mark went along to find out more about from church members David Graham and Willie Crowe.”
On the Tuesday before hand, Mark visited the church to make his recording – it was amazing how he did it, there was no planning on what we would say, no rehearsal, no second take if we got it wrong – he wanted it to come across naturally. He was very taken with Captain Morgan’s Communion Cup – we will have to use it more often.
Note, the cup is not kept in the church.
