St Fillan’s has supported Christian Aid as part of mission to the developing world for m any years. On Sunday 1st October Lucy Le Roux from Christian Aid came to our church to lead worship (with the worship group). She based the service on the themes of creation and justice and will explain the work of CA in the world now. We sang the hymn ‘The Song of Kingdom Come’ which was written for Christian Aid’s 75th anniversary. The photos show Lucy, Lesley our Chriatian Aid coordinator and Eric our Worship Group.
The first reference I can find linking Christian Aid & St Fillan’s is in the September 1971 newsletter, a coffee morning raised £111 and the admision was 15p.
