About Us

Family Fun

St. Fillan’s Church together with St. Columba’s Episcopal Church run a very successful Family Fun programme three times a year for children in Primary 1 to Primary 7.

This takes the form of a morning event in the church hall to celebrate Easter, a Summer week covering a variety of biblical themes and another morning session, usually in early December, to reflect on the Christmas story. In addition to this an infant programme is organised for preschool children to run simultaneously in the Institute for the Summer week only. These events are extremely well attended with up to 40 young children ably supported by many adult volunteers but also a group of five teenagers, whose help and fellowship are enjoyed and appreciated by both the adults and children alike. The ministers from both churches take an active part in the activities and join eagerly in the fun.

Summer Family Fun 2021

Hi there,

We’re all pretty sad 😢 that we can’t run the Fun Week again this summer due to the restriction on numbers allowed in the hall.
The good news is that we have found this link on YouTube https://www.virtualsundayschooluk.com/pages/virtual-holiday-club-2021 to a Virtual Holiday Club which looks like it could be fun 🤪🥳🤗🤩. So why not take a look and join in during the week 9th – 13th August ?

Join in with the Virtual Holiday Club day on their YouTube Channel at 10am and 5pm.

Maybe you could get together with one or two friends to watch it, or some family members. You don’t need to do it every day but we hope you will enjoy it, if and when you do. We would love to hear from any of you, so please do send us your comments to [email protected]

We hope you are having a great summer and that we’ll be able to meet up again soon.

From all the Fun Week Team

Easter Family Fun 2021

Can’t believe it!    Another Good Friday without a Fun Day.

Will YOU make an Easter Garden?

How will yours look?

How about showing us what Easter means to you?
We will have a walk round the village on Easter Day and have a look at what you have made.

Just let us know by emailing your address to [email protected] and we’ll come and have a look and take a photo to put on the website if that’s OK with you.

Have a fun Easter!

Here are three entries – don’t they look fantastic.
