How is the Presbytery Plan working in other Parishes? Part 2

We have united with Dalgety, Inverkeithing, North Queensferry & Rosyth churches tp form Fife: Forthview Parish Church and are in the process of calling three ministers. How are others getting on with the changes proposed in the Presbytery Plan? The information below has been taken from recent press reports.

A year ago in Kirkcaldy Templehall and Torbain churches merged to form Hope Church and Templehall closed. Now there are £2.3 million plans to transform the 1960’s Torbain church building into a community hub. While other churches are closing they are looking to expand and welcoming more people and groups into the church. The church is built on a slope so a lift will be installed to make it more accessible.

The Kirkcaldy Foodbank are looking for a new home. They were using Viewforth Church Hall, but the Church of Scotland have now sold the church and so the Kirkcaldy Foodbank are now looking for new premises. The deadline to vacate the hall has been extended but they may have to close its doors temporarily until a new venue can be found. Update – Fife council have found them a venue.

Autism Rocks (Fife) have found themselves in the same situation as Buckhaven Parish Church hall they were using is being sold.
