Reflections from the Pew 27

We are taking a break from looking back to 1120’s as this is the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. Normally we would be sharing worship with St Columba’s.

This week I contacted a call centre regarding the web hosting. The guy on the phone looked at the website and we ended up with a discussion regarding the differences between the Church of Scotland, the Church of England and the Church of Ireland – we concluded that the main differences were in terminology.

It made me think of the links with St Columba’ on the website.

On the Contacts Page, St Columba’s is included and there is a link to their website.

Also did you see the recent post on Advent at All Souls?

Have you read the stories of those people on the War Memorial? The following young lives are especially sad. Surgeon Lieutenant Commander Samuel Kingsley Foster married Barbara Moubray on 10th August 1939 at St Columbu’s Church and Leading Seaman Charles Reginald Levein married Catherine (Rena) Chalmers Liston on 22nd November 1939 at St Fillan’s Church – see here for more information.

Could we do more?
