It is the season of festivals, therefore we are going to look at festivals in the bible – this week it’s the Feast of Trumpets.
Here God commands his people to rest. During this time all regular work is prohibited, and men and women present a food offering to God. It is a time for us to remember what God has done for us. It is also the start of a period of reflection.
In the New Testament trumpets are often associated with the Second Coming.
Music is often used in celebration. In the Women’s Euro’s, the England team sang to celebrate. In church, music and singing is very important in worship, praise and celebration.
