Crazy Path
I enter through the iron gates
and wander through the arch.
Past skull and crossbones mossed with
the passage of time.
Along the crazy path in the stillness,
apart from the gentle flutter of a bird swooping past.
In this crazy world.
Past tombs and head stones that belong to long ago.
People loved and lost who’s memory will always be cherished.
The Kirk before me standing majestic in
the flickering sunlight.
I pause and ask the Lord to lay his healing hands.
Enfold everyone on this earth with His love.
Please keep them safe and offer all some hope.
Then back along the crazy paved path.
To face again this crazy world.
