Does anybody remember St Colmes Church?
I had always thought with it being demolished that it must have been an insubstantial building. There are few photographs of it but the above photo shows an impressive interior.
The other photo shows the amazing stained glass window showing Jesus as the Good Shepherd.
The church was in use for over 110 years and stood for 120 years.
What appeared to be permanent was demolished, only the manse remains and its name lives on in the upper room in the Church Hall and in St Colmes Crescent.
On a more positive note the churches were reunited after 110 years appart!
